The Toronto Tempo have signed French guard Tima Pouye, the team announced on Friday.

Second-year guard Lexi Held was waived in a corresponding move.

A native of Tulle, Pouye recently helped Bourges reach the French League Finals, averaging 12.6 points, 4.4 boards and 2.1 assists over 27.0 minutes a night. Pouye also represented France at EuroBasket 2025.

“I’m really excited for this next step and grateful for the opportunity to join Toronto,” said Pouye. “Competing in EuroLeague and playing deep into the French playoffs helped me grow my game, and I’m looking forward to continuing to do so during this new chapter with the Tempo and the WNBA.”

A 26-year-old native of Burlington, KY, Held was the 10th overall selection of the expansion draft, taken from the Phoenix Mercury.

She appeared in all eight of the Tempo’s games, shooting .5000 from three and averaging 7.5 minutes a night.

A product of DePaul, Held appeared in 32 games for the Mercury last season.

The Tempo (4-4) returns to action on Saturday with a visit from the Seattle Storm (3-5).
