Tempo’s Sabally exits late against Dream after suffering a rib injury

Published:

Toronto Tempo forward Nyara Sabally exited Friday’s game against the Atlanta Dream late in the fourth quarter after suffering a rib injury.

After the game, Tempo head coach Sandy Brondello said that Sabally hurt her ribs and that the injury was hopefully not serious.

“She’s not feeling great at the moment,” Brondello told the media.

Sabally was defending a drive by Dream forward Angel Reese when she fell to the court after absorbing hard contact to the body.

The 26-year-old remained down and was attended to by the team’s training staff.

Eventually Sabally was able to walk off the court with assistance and went straight to the team’s locker room.

The Oregon native contributed 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting in 21:02 before she was forced to leave the contest.

Sabally is averaging 11.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game this season.

The Tempo went on to drop the contest 111-92 to the Dream to fall to 10-15 on the season.
