Roderick Strong (w/ Kyle O’Reilly) vs. Jon Moxley (w/ “The Problem” Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia)

For the second time in five days, Roderick Strong and Jon Moxley will share a ring, but a singles match between the two men has been a long time in coming. On this past Saturday’s Collision, the Death Riders team of Moxley and new recruit Daniel Garcia defeated the Paragon (Strong and Kyle O’Reilly) when O’Reilly tapped out to Garcia’s Dragontamer. The match had come about because Strong and O’Reilly were disgusted by Garcia’s association with the Death Riders. On Wednesday night, Strong and Moxley will meet in singles competition for the first time in over 15 years. The rivalry between Strong and Moxley goes all the way back to 2008 and IWA-Mid South Wrestling. In the first round of Revolution Strong Style Tournament, Strong defeated Moxley to advance. Strong would go on to win the one-night tournament, defeating Sami Callihan in the final. But Moxley would get his revenge a little over two years later in Full Impact Pro. When Davey Richards vacated the FIP World Championship, a match was held in Crystal River, FL between Mox and Strong to crown a new champion in which Moxley would prevail. He would hold onto the title for 441 days before relinquishing it to join WWE. These previous meetings will no doubt be in the minds of both men on Wednesday night, but both also have other things to contend with at present. Moxley will take on Darby Allin in a coffin match at All Out, while Strong is growing increasingly frustrated with O’Reilly’s association with The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Hologram, Tomohiro Ishii and Willow Nightingale), believing that it’s keeping them from competing for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Both Mox and Strong have a point to prove in London, but only one men will see his hand raised in victory. Which of these old rivals will pick up an important win?

No-holds-barred match: Queen Aminata vs. “The Toxic Spider” Thekla (w/ Julia Hart and Skye Blue)

On Saturday at All Out, Thekla Kaischauri gets her first shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship as Toni Storm defends her title in a four-way match that also includes Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter. It’s undoubtedly the biggest match of her AEW career to date, so it begs the question as to why she would agree to a no-holds-barred match with Queen Aminata only days earlier? The answer is pretty simple: she hates her guts. Since her arrival in AEW earlier in the year, Aminata and Thekla have done battle on a number of occasions with a mutual dislike being born through their encounters. In between matches, there have even been pull-apart brawls involving the two women. The hatred Thekla has for Aminata is enough for her to want to try to end their feud in a no-holds-barred match even though it’s only days away from her title match. Will she live to regret this decision? Time will tell. As for their previous meetings, there has been only one singles match and it was the first time the two shared a ring back in June. Thekla picked up the win with the Death Trap. All told, Thekla holds a 6-2 edge over Aminata. Since Wednesday night’s match is no-holds-barred, Aminata will also have to contend with Thekla’s Triangle of Madness stablemates in Julia Hart and Skye Blue. That won’t come as a surprise, so will Aminata have some back-up of her own? One thing is for certain, Wednesday night’s match is unlikely to be a pretty one.

AEW Unified Championship Eliminator Match: The Beast Mortos (w/ “El Toro Blanco” Rush and Dralistico) vs. Mascara Dorada

A spot in Saturday’s three-way match for the AEW Unified Championship is on the line at Dynamite as The Beast Mortos takes on Mascara Dorada. The opportunity for a place in the All Out match is a big one for both men. Not only is a potential championship in play, there is a very viable path to a win in that match for whomever it is who emerges victorious on Wednesday night. The other two competitors in Saturday’s match are the defending champion, Kazuchika Okada, and his Don Callis Family stablemate, and the winner of the G1 Climax, Konosuke Takeshita. Regardless of what Callis might say, there is a palpable tension between Okada and Takeshita and it certainly appears to be more than simply a friendly rivalry. The feeling that the Family is only big enough for one of them seems to be growing by the week. If the third man in Saturday’s match can exploit that and let them beat up on one another, that opens up an avenue to go home with the AEW Unified Championship. But to put that plan in motion, Mortos or Dorada has to get through Wednesday first. Wednesday night’s match will be the first-ever singles bout between the two men and the sixth time overall that Mortos and Dorada have shared a ring. In their previous matches, Dorada holds a 3-2 edge. The match on Dynamite is their most consequential meeting to date. Dorada already holds two titles currently in the CMLL World Trios Championships, as part of El Sky Team with Mistico and Neon, and the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship. Mortos is still looking for his first AEW championship. Which of these two men will put themselves in position to claim gold in Toronto?

“The Almighty” Bobby Lashley (w/ Montel Vontavious Porter and “The Standard of Excellence” Shelton Benjamin) vs. Toa Liona (w/ Ricochet and Bishop Kaun)

The Hurt Syndicate lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Forbidden Door to Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) in a three-way match that also included FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) when three masked men in New Japan Pro-Wrestling tracksuits jumped Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin and brawled with them to the back. The trio eventually removed their masks to reveal Ricochet and the Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun). On Saturday at All Out, MVP will join Benjamin and Lashley in a trios match against Ricochet and the GOA. Before then, though, on Wednesday night, it will be Lashley going one-on-one with Liona in a match that the great Big E would call “Big meaty men slapping meat.” A singles match is a rarity for both men and it will be only the third for each competitor in AEW. Lashley is 2-0 with wins over Swerve Strickland and Mark Briscoe, while Liona is 0-2 with defeats to “Hangman” Adam Page and Claudio Castagnoli. Really, though, who wins or loses on Dynamite won’t be of much concern for either man. Ahead of the trios match in Toronto, Wednesday night’s bout will be about sending a message and making somebody feel pain. The chances of this match ending in a disqualification with the other four men in Saturday’s match getting involved are quite high. The question, then, isn’t who will pick up a victory, but which of these two men will manage to walk out of London unscathed?

AEW World Tag Team Championship 4-Way Ladder Match Qualifier: Bullet Club Gold (“Rock Hard” Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn) vs. The Young Bucks (Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson)

Has the Young Bucks’ luck finally changed? On this past Wednesday night’s Dynamite, the Jackson brothers teamed with the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler YUTA) to defeat AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) and AEW World Trios Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Will Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata) in a $500,000 10-man tag. After losing their executive vice-president titles and everything that came with them at All In, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson desperately needed this cash infusion. If going from the poor house to the penthouse weren’t enough, the Jacksons now have the chance to become AEW World Tag Team Champions for the fourth time and the first time in over a year if they can get by the Bang Bang Gang’s Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn to earn passage into Saturday’s four-way ladder match. If things are looking up for the Bucks, they’re looking the other way for Robinson and Gunn. With “Switchblade” Jay White and Colten Gunn on the shelf for an extended period, Bullet Club Gold currently consists of just Juice and Austin. Both men made their frustrations about their current direction in a backstage interview with Lexy Nair last week. A good way to right the ship would be to beat the Bucks on Wednesday night. And Juice and Austin are no strangers to tag-team gold themselves. Robinson is a former TNA and IWGP World Tag Team Champion alongside Bullet Club War Dogs leader Dave Finlay, while Gunn held the AEW World Tag Team Championships with his brother, Colten. They will provide a stiff test to the Bucks. Will the Jacksons’ newfound luck continue or will Bullet Club Gold take a step towards the tag titles?

AEW World Tag Team Championship 4-Way Ladder Match Qualifier: The Don Callis Family (“The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander and “The Alchemist” Hechicero) (w/ Don Callis and “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer) vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) (w/ Leila Grey, Scorpio Sky and “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels)

Bolton, Ont.’s Josh Alexander has never performed at Scotiabank Arena before and he wants that to change come Saturday. The man who grew up only an hour outside of Toronto has the chance to earn himself a match at All Out on Wednesday night. He and his Don Callis Family teammate Hechicero face off with Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) for a spot in the AEW World Tag Team Championship ladder match. While the Martin brothers quite obviously hold the edge in chemistry over Alexander and Hechicero by virtue of being literal siblings, Alexander was a tag-team specialist at one time in his career. Before he was a two-time TNA/Impact World Champion and an X-Division Champion, he held the TNA/Impact World Tag Team Championships on two occasions with Ethan Page as The North (also known as Monster Mafia on the Ontario indie circuit). The duo defeated the likes of Santana and Ortiz, the Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier) and Rob Van Dam and Sabu. Whether Alexander can replicate that kind of form with Hechicero remains to be seen, but this duo should be a formidable one. For Top Flight, the AEW tag titles have eluded them for years thanks to a combination of poor injury luck and savvy competition. The Martin brothers have not challenged for the titles in over two years and, if that weren’t enough motivation for Wednesday, they excel in ladder matches, meaning that they would have to be considered a major threat to win Saturday’s match should they advance to it. Which of these two teams will find themselves fighting for the titles in Toronto.

AEW World Tag Team Championship 4-Way Ladder Match Qualifier: JetSpeed (Kevin “The Jet” Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey) vs. The Matriarchy (“Superbad” Kip Sabian and Killswitch) (w/ Mother Wayne)

Count JetSpeed among the teams in these qualifying matches who are desperately searching for that big victory. The talent of Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey is immense and the duo is guaranteed to steal the show on any given night, but they’re still looking for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Only becoming a regular team in April, the two got their only shot at the straps to date in a three-way match at All In against then-champions the Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) and the Patriarchy (Christian Cage and Nick Wayne). Knight and Bailey’s challenge was an unsuccessful one. But they realize they’re on the cusp of another and, like Top Flight, would excel in a ladder match format. Standing in their way is the remnants of the Patriarchy, but now led by Shayna Wayne as the Matriarchy. With Cage banished and ROH World Television Champion Wayne on the shelf, it’s up to Kip Sabian and Killswitch to carry the mantle, but that might be easier said than done. Killswitch, who returned to action last month after a yearlong absence, and Sabian are clearly not on the same page. And questions remain about Killswitch’s return, namely who put it into motion? Still, should Sabian and Killswitch make things work, they, too, could be a handful on Saturday. Killswitch is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion as one-half of the Jurassic Express with Jack Perry. His height and strength would make for an ideal combo in a ladder match. Will JetSpeed earn themselves another shot at the belts or will the Matriarchy take a big step forward?

AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (w/ Don Callis) sign their contracts for their championship match at All Out

On last week’s Dynamite, Kyle Fletcher got his shot at the AEW World Championship when “Hangman” Adam Page agreed to meet him at All Out. But there was a caveat. Page agreed as long as Fletcher left the rest of the Don Callis Family in the back and met him one on one. The current TNT Champion, Fletcher is in imperious form right now, but there was a cool confidence in the Cowboy. He told Fletcher that he wasn’t ready to be the world champion and he meant it. Not only does Page want to prove that, he wants to enact some vengeance from Fletcher for putting his former tag-team partner, Kenny Omega, out of action after a vicious assault two weeks ago. On Wednesday night, the two men will sign the contracts for their match in Toronto. Will Fletcher answer back to Page’s comments or will the Hangman once again get into the Aussie’s head?

FTR (Dax “The Ax” Harwood and Cash Wheeler) (/ “Big” Stokely Hathaway) come face-to-face with “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland and Christian Cage

Perhaps no match on Saturday’s card will be more heated than FTR’s grudge match against former friend Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Since returning at All In after a four-month absence following a vicious assault by Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, Copeland has been consumed by the desire for revenge. Along for the ride is Copeland’s best frenemy, Christian Cage, who has agreed to assist the man he won seven WWE Tag Team Championships alongside in his quest for vengeance. Only days before they go to war, they will meet face-to-face in London. What are the chances that the enmity between these two duos can keep from getting physical on Wednesday night?
