AEW World Trios Championship match: Swerve Strickland and The New Level (“Awesome” Austin Creed and KOFI) (c) (w/ Prince Nana) vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun)
The Demand trio of Ricochet and the Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun) aren’t happy at the best of times, but right now, they’re furious. Their anger stems from the Aug. 5 edition of Dynamite from Mexico City when they lost the AEW World Trios Championships to the team of “Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido (ROH World Champion Bandido and Brody King). They failed to get them back at All In during the Roulette Royal where they were claimed by the current champions, Swerve Strickland, Austin Creed and KOFI.
But on Wednesday night, they can get their titles back. The Demand takes on the champions for the belts on Dynamite with the winners moving on to Saturday’s All Out pay-per-view to defend them against Page, Bandido and King. The Demand signaled their intent last week on Dynamite.
Tony Schiavone welcomed the champions to the ring for a promo segment, but they were immediately jumped and laid waste to by The Demand. Kaun planted KOFI with Glory to Mount Fako, while Creed was taken out by one of Liona’s signature Samoan drops. With Swerve isolated three-on-one, he was at the mercy of the challengers. Ricochet struck first with the Spirit Gun before the Gates put the former AEW World Champion down with Open the Gates. The Demand then posed with the titles for good measure.
Wednesday night’s match will be a chance for revenge for the champs, but they will be wary of what comes next. Both teams will undoubtedly go for it in the match and expend a ton of energy. That could play right into the hands of Hangman and Brodido, who will await the winners on Saturday. Page, Bandido and King are formidable opponents for both of these trios at full strength, so it only stands to reason how imposing a task they will be if one of these trios heads into Saturday not at 100 per cent.
Can The Demand win their titles back or will the champs survive until the PPV?

TBS Championship match: CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone (c) (w/ Dr. Britt Baker, DMD) vs. Hyan
When Hyan looks to become TBS Champion on Wednesday night, she will be going it alone. The former champion and Hyan’s tag partner, Maya World, is out of action, through injury. That means Hyan will attempt to defeat the woman who took the title away from World without moral support from her friend.
On the other side of the ring, though, Persephone will likely have the woman who helped her become a double champion in tow. It was at All In at Wembley Stadium where Persephone defeated World thanks to the help of the returning Britt Baker. The two struck up a friendship based on their mutual dislike of Thunder Rosa as it turns out.
The match on Dynamite will not be the first singles bout between the two women. With Hyan being from Houston and Persephone being from across Texas in El Paso, the two haven’t necessarily spent a ton of time together in the same federations due to the significant distance between their hometowns, but they did face off in the spring of 2025 in the southern town of Harligen, just across the border from Monterrey, Mexico. In that match for WILL (Willy Independent Lucha Libre), Persephone picked up the victory.
Wednesday night’s match will be Hyan’s second title shot in AEW. At Dynasty this past April in Vancouver, Hyan and World unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships, then held by Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross). Will Wednesday night be different?
Can Hyan avenge her partner or will Persephone continue her reign with a win over a fellow Texan?

AEW World Champion “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay and “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Death Riders (IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion “War Ready” Gabe Kidd and Claudio Castagnoli) (w/ “The Problem” Marina Shafir)
Before Will Ospreay makes the first defence of his AEW World Championship at All Out against his former mentor Jon Moxley, he will have to deal with ex-stablemates in the Death Riders’ Gabe Kidd and Claudio Castagnoli. But he won’t be alone. Ospreay will have Mike Bailey in tow.
The issues between Ospreay and Kidd predate his association with the Death Riders and subsequent defection. As much as he might not like it, Ospreay has been somewhat of a trailblazer for Kidd. Ospreay went to RevPro before Kidd did. He was in New Japan Pro-Wrestling before Kidd joined the Dojo. And Ospreay went to AEW before Kidd crossed the Pacific to do the same.
That fact isn’t lost on Kidd and it’s something that sticks in his craw. Weeks ago, Kidd told Ospreay that he ruined his dream by becoming the first British IWGP World Champion (even though Zack Sabre Jr. beat Ospreay to that feat) and AEW World Champion before he had the chance. As much as Kidd says he’s focused on violence and mayhem, he clearly seeks validation in the form of championships and accolades, as well as acknowledgement from his peers.
Wednesday night’s match will be an avenue for Kidd to take out his frustrations on Ospreay, but it will also allow Kidd and Castagnoli to soften up Ospreay for Mox on Saturday. And that’s where Bailey comes in. While his win-loss record might not be where he wants it to, Speedball has never backed down from a chance to test himself, whether it’s in singles or tag competition. Going toe-to-toe with wrestlers the calibre of Kidd and Castagnoli is the type of challenge Bailey has made a career of and he will relish the chance to take on the Death Riders on Dynamite.
Which of these two teams can pick up a victory in a match where emotions will certainly run high?

AEW Continental Title Eliminator match: AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. Dezmond Xavier
Seeing his Rascalz stablemates vie for gold over the past week, it’s time for Dezmond Xavier to take his shot on Dynamite. Xavier meets AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley in a Title Eliminator. Should he defeat Mox, he will earn a future shot at Mox’s championship.
This past Saturday night on Collision, the Rascalz came up short in a pair of pursuits. Myron Reed stretched Darby Allin to the limit and got his endorsement after the match, but he was unable to take his TNT Championship in a hard-fought match. Then in the show’s main event, Zachary Wentz took on Moxley in a Title Eliminator match of his own. Wentz held his own with Moxley on the ground and even got the better of the champion for several minutes. The turning point came when his high-risk decision to go for a Spiral Tap crashed and burned. That allowed for Mox to hit a curb stomp and then a Death Rider for the win.
Will the third time be the charm for the Rascalz on Wednesday night? While Xavier is best known for his work as a tag wrestler or in a trio, he has been a champion on his own before. Back at Halloween Havoc 2022, Xavier won a ladder match, that also included Carmelo Hayes and Nathan Frazer, for the vacant NXT North American Championship. He would go on to hold the title for nine months before dropping it to Dominik Mysterio.
For Moxley, Wednesday’s match is a tune-up for Saturday when he will seek to become the AEW World Champion for a record fifth time. The upcoming date with Will Ospreay at All Out will certainly be front of mind for Moxley, but it would be ill-advised to give anything less than complete attention to the very capable Xavier. One slip-up is all it will take for Moxley to find himself forced into defending his championship.
Since defeating Kazuchika Okada in the 2025 Continental Classic Final to become champion last December, Moxley has wrestled in 13 Title Eliminators. He has not lost any of them, beating the likes of Mike Bailey, Juice Robinson and Kyle O’Reilly. Xavier will have to find a way to do something that those preceding him couldn’t. What that is remains to be seen.
