Well, well, well... another hockey team that plays way, way, WAY higher level hockey than us wants to face the BarDown hockey team! Lemme tell ya, it ain’t easy being the prettiest girl at the dance.
Okay well maybe that isn’t the situation here considering these games always have some sort of absolutely ridiculous rule implemented to aid the beer league level play our guys capable of. This time, that rule is a constant, unwavering 5-on-3 power-play.
Generally speaking, a 5-on-3 power-play should mean around 90% offensive zone time for the team with five guys on the ice, but when you put a Division I hockey team against a beer league hockey team that is not going to be the case.
With that, we send it over to DZ and Pavel Barber for the call on Union College vs. the BarDown hockey team!
That’s probably about as even as we could have expected, and at no point did it really look like Union was actually that uncomfortable at all. I mean, if you’re comfortable enough to mohawk skate from your own D-zone, past your entire opposition, and roof it bar down on the backhand, you’re probably in decent shape.
Absolutely nasty goal from Nate Hanley, by the way.
What level of team should we face next? Let us know in the BarDown YouTube comments!
