USING 10,000 PUCKS IN HOCKEY WARMUP

Don’t you hate it when you get to the rink and you simply do not have enough pucks to warm

up with comfortably? You ever have like 10 players on the ice and only three pucks to go around?

We found a solution to the problem: just bring thousands of pucks.

You may remember about six years ago when we posted this video of warming up with 1,000 pucks.

Well, we decided to do a sequel by adding an extra 0 to the number of pucks. Yep… 10,000 pucks for warmups!

Needless to say, this endeavour came with some pretty ridiculous logistical challenges. Not only did we have to transport them (a full trailer of pucks, being towed behind a truck), but we had to get them onto the ice. BRING IN THE KITTIES!

Even with the Bobcats, the pucks needed to be cooled down before they were allowed on the ice. While 20 pucks may not do much damage in melting the ice, 10,000 absolutely will. We still want to play a game, and we would prefer not to be skating through soup!

The biggest challenge of all may be removing the pucks from the ice at the end of warmups. Nothing like breaking a huge sweat before the (1) puck even drops. Luckily for us, a number of people around the rink, including the refs and the other team, helped us out with it.

Do we… Do we… Do we do 100,000???

In case you didn’t see 1,000 pucks, see below!
