Let’s start with the bad news for soccer fans.
The UEFA Champions League semi-finals will be finalized over the next few hours, but we already know that we won’t get to see Lamine Yamal in the final four.
The 18-year-old phenom nearly dragged Barcelona back from the brink of elimination versus Atlético Madrid in the second leg of their quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Trailing 2-0 on aggregate, Yamal scored four minutes in to give Barcelona hope for a comeback.
20 minutes later, Fernan Torres pulled them even in the series, and Barcelona went from +245 to nearly even money to qualify for the next round at FanDuel.
However, Ademola Lookman responded for Atlético, and Diego Simeone’s side installed a new set of brakes to stop Yamal and the Barcelona attack in the second half to prevail on aggregate.

Barcelona, which hasn’t won the Champions League since 2015, failed to reach the final four for the sixth time in the last seven years.
So, what’s next for one of soccer’s fastest rising stars?
While his focus shifts back to La Liga, we’re only 57 days away from watching Yamal represent Spain on the world’s biggest stage.

Only four superstars – Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Lionel Messi, and Erling Haaland – have shorter odds to win the World Cup Golden Boot than Yamal at +1800 at FanDuel.
Spain remains the favourite to lift the trophy at +440.
Yamal being must-watch television this summer is the closest thing to a lock that I can find.
In the meantime, Arsenal, Sporting Lisbon, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid will compete for the final spots in the Champions League semi-finals this afternoon.

First, Arsenal lost to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
Then they were eliminated from the FA Cup by Southampton.
After a rough stretch, many thought they would bounce back with a win over Bournemouth in their first league game after the international break.
Instead, Bournemouth pulled off a stunning upset at +800 to win in 90 minutes.

If Arsenal books its spot in the Champions League semi’s and wins or draws versus Manchester City, it will go a long way towards eliminating the current tensions.
Anything less and it may be full blown panic mode.
Arsenal is +190 as the favourite to win Champions League at FanDuel this morning.
That number represents a 34.5 per cent implied chance.
First up, Gunners will attempt to clinch their spot in the semi-final up 1-0 on aggregate versus Sporting.

Arsenal is -2500 to qualify for the next round at FanDuel.
If everything goes as expected this afternoon, they will advance to play Atlético Madrid in the semi-finals.
Here’s the thing with these Gunners fans now – they’re not buying the Champions League favourite hype at all.
It wasn’t long that Arsenal was -2500 as a massive favourite to win the Premier League title at FanDuel.
Their supporters have seen this team struggle in recent weeks, and suddenly there is pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side to avoid a historic collapse.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is -1000 to advance versus Real Madrid in the other quarterfinals.
That number represents a 90.9 per cent implied chance.
Madrid supporters will be pulling for the upset at +610.
If the script holds, it will be Arsenal versus Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich versus PSG in the semifinals.
All that Gunners supporters want is for everything to go as expected.
Anything less could mean disaster for Arsenal.
