Kevin Mital is staying with the Double Blue.
The Canadian pass-catcher has signed an extension with the Toronto Argonauts that will run through the 2027 season, it was announced on Thursday.
Mital, 27, has spent the past two seasons with the Boatmen after the team selected him fifth overall in the 2024 CFL Draft.
The St. Hubert, Que. native broke out in his sophomore season with 102 catches for 886 yards and four touchdowns while appearing in all 18 games, earning the team’s nomination for Most Outstanding Canadian.
He became just the fifth player in franchise to post a 100-catch season, also becoming the first Canadian to accomplish the feat.
“I am thrilled to sign this extension in Toronto,” Mital said in a press releasing announcing the deal. “I love competing here, I love the city, and I want to bring another Grey Cup home where it belongs; for my family, my teammates, this organization, and our fans.”
A former Hec Crighton Trophy winner with Laval, Mital has recorded 120 catches for 1,087 yards and four touchdowns across 30 career games played in the CFL.
The Argonauts kick off the 2026 campaign on Friday night with matchup against Montreal Alouettes.
