Ajou Ajou is returning to the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders.

After the league announced on Tuesday that the wide receiver had been reinstated with ongoing conditions, TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor reports he has agreed to terms on a deal with the Calgary Stampeders.

The 24-year-old Brooks, Alta. native was suspended in April for no fewer than six games for a violation of the league’s Gender-Based Violence and Harassment Policy. The ban came following a third-party investigation into allegations of “aggressive and unwelcome physical contact” with multiple women at a Regina-area restaurant on the evening of Nov. 18, 2025.

He was released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders shortly after the suspension was announced.

Contingent on Ajou’s reinstatement was the “successful completion of a three-part process: 15 mandatory counselling sessions conducted by a gender-based violence expert, a psychological assessment by another independent expert and a meeting with Commissioner [Stewart] Johnston.”

The league notes that any future violations of the policy will be met with stricter penalties up to and including a lifetime ban.

Ajou will now serve his six-game suspension before he can play for the Stamps.

Ajou had appeared in 20 games for the Riders across two seasons. He had two receptions in the Riders’ 25-17 victory over the Montreal Alouettes at this past November’s 112th Grey Cup in Winnipeg.
