Alouettes’ Alexander, Theis, Stampeders’ Mills named CFL players of the week

TORONTO — Montreal quarterback Davis Alexander, Alouettes running back Travis Theis and Calgary running back Dedrick Mills have been named the CFL’s top players of Week 7.

Alexander threw for 402 yards with three touchdowns in the Alouettes’ 38-32 win over the Stampeders on Saturday in Calgary.

He now has a record 336 consecutive pass attempts without an interception.

Theis rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown and added 49 receiving yards in Montreal’s victory.

It was the first time Theis rushed for at least 100 years in a game.

Mills rushed for 130 rushing yards and two touchdowns and added 38 receiving yards in the Stampeders’ loss.
