The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have made an addition to Scott Milanovich’s coaching staff, as the team announced they have signed former Ottawa Redblacks head coach Bob Dyce as special teams coordinator and assistant head coach.

Dyce, 60, spent the past four seasons coaching with the Redblacks, including the past three as their head coach. He was fired at the conclusion of the 2025 season with an 18-39-1 record as head coach in Ottawa.

“We’re very fortunate that Bob Dyce was available, and I feel he is a slam-dunk hire,” Ticats head coach Milanovich said in a release. “His experience, leadership and character will serve our players and our organization extremely well.”

Dyce marks the only addition to the coaching staff that helped guide the Tiger-Cats to the top place in the East Division and a spot in the East Final this past season, where they fell 19-16 to the Montreal Alouettes.

“The stability within our coaching staff is critical as we build on last season and continue working in 2026 toward our goal of bringing the Grey Cup back to Hamilton,” Milanovich said.

Dyce will take the place of Dennis McKnight on the coaching staff, who was the special teams coordinator last season. “Dennis McKnight is a one-of-a-kind coach and friend who will be difficult to replace,” said Milanovich.

The Tiger-Cats will look to build off of last season’s division title when their 2026 regular season kicks off at home against the Alouettes on June 4.
