The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian linebacker Jayden Griffiths, it was announced Wednesday morning.
The 24-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., spent last season with the Ottawa Redblacks and appeared in all 18 games. He had one defensive tackle and five special teams tackles.
Griffiths was with the Redblacks this year in training camp but was released in May.
Griffiths was a standout linebacker at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ont., where he recorded 75 tackles, one and a half sacks and a fumble recovery during his four-year collegiate career.
The Ticats head into Week 10 at 3-5 and will take on the BC Lions on Saturday.
