The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are making another change at quarterback.
Harrison Frost will get the start under centre as the Ticats play the BC Lions in Vancouver on Saturday night.
Hamilton started Tre Ford in their 44-20 Week 9 loss to the Calgary Stampeders. Ford was 4-of-10 for 58 yards and gave way to Frost, who was 9-of-20 for 165 yards and one touchdown compared to one interception in the loss.
The Ticats signed the 27-year-old pivot in mid-July after he spent the 2026 UFL season with the St. Louis Battlehawks. He spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Tiger-Cats before joining the UFL.
Head coach Scott Milanovich discussed the decision with reporters on Thursday.
“I would say it was probably a clear-cut decision,” Milanovich said via Steve Milton of the Hamilton Spectator.
“Things may have been different if Frosty had been here for training camp. Obviously, we only got him a couple weeks ago. He does know the system because he’s been here for, whatever it is, two and a half years, but it was just too soon to throw him out there prior to this week in my opinion and ask him to be able to play well.”
The Ticats have also started Jake Dolegala under centre since starter Bo Levi Mitchell was forced out of action with a significant ankle injury suffered in June.
Hamilton enters Week 10 third place in the Eastern Division at 3-5.
