Canadians to Watch

- Jon Cornish: The Stamps already have Matt Walter and Bo Palmer in the fold but, after being without the three-time Most Outstanding Canadian for much of last season, they might consider adding more depth at running back on Draft Day.

- Pierre Lavertu: The Stamps knew when they traded up to draft him last spring that they’d likely need him to replace Brett Jones at centre this season.

- Adam Thibault: He’s still a work in progress but some in the Stamps organization believe that this field corner could one day be a ratio breaker for them.

In the Pipeline

- OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (Kansas City Chiefs)

Picks in 2015 CFL Draft

- 8 selections

- 9th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 27th, 44th, 53rd, and 62nd overall

Random Thought

You’ll notice that Calgary currently holds three third round selections in the 2015 Draft. This is standard operating procedure for the Stamps, who have historically stocked up on middle round picks to load up on “futures”. In the past, this has landed them players with remaining NCAA eligibility, including current Stampeders Adam Berger, Billy Peach, and Brad Erdos, as well as NFLer Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. With redshirt juniors no longer a part of the draft process, look for the Stamps to use these picks on highly regarded prospects who drop in the CFL Draft because they’re destined to be in NFL training camps this summer.
