Canadians to Watch

- Shamawd Chambers: The Esks need to start two Canadian receivers and, although there’s depth and competition at slot, a healthy Chambers is clearly the preferred option.

- Simeon Rottier: Should Edmonton opt to draft an O-Lineman early, this former #1 overall pick will be counted on as a mentor.

- Gregory Alexandre: He emerged as a key to the Esks ratio plans last season, replacing the injured Don Oramasionwu in the defensive tackle rotation.

In the Pipeline

- OL Austin Pasztor (Jacksonville Jaguars)

- DT Stefan Charles (Buffalo Bills)

Picks in 2015 CFL Draft

- 5 selections

- 7th, 16th, 25th, 34th, and 60th overall

Random Thought

With virtually every draft pick, free agent signing, and trade since he took over as the Eskimos general manager in 2013, Ed Hervey has made it very clear that he wants his team to be big and physical. Whether they look to add youth to a veteran O-Line group, a fullback to eventually succeed Calvin McCarty, or a linebacker to help their special teams, expect that philosophy to hold true.
