The Moncton Wildcats look to even up the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League Championship Series with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in Game 4 on Wednesday evening.

Chicoutimi enters Game 4 up 2-1 in the series after defeating Moncton 5-4 in overtime in dramatic fashion.

The Saguenéens had a two-goal lead wiped out in the third period thanks to a pair of goals by Wildcats centre Teddy Mutryn, including the game-tying marker with just 25 second remaining in the frame.

Chicoutimi forward Thomas Desruisseaux was then the hero, jamming the puck past Wildcats netminder Rudy Guimond in overtime, and after a goal review, claimed the victory for his team.

Veteran defenceman Jordan Tourigny recorded two goals in the victory for the Saguenéens, while forwards Émile Guité and Christophe Berthelot also scored.

Nashville Predators prospect Alex Huang also stood out in the victory for Chicoutimi, providing four assists.

Ottawa Senators goaltending prospect Lucas Beckman took the victory, making 37 of 41 saves.

Defenceman Max Vilen and forward Simon Binkley also scored for the Wildcats while QMJHL defenceman and rookie of the year Tommy Bleyl provided three assists.

Guimond, a Detroit Red Wings prospect took the loss after allowing five goals on 40 shots.

The Saguenéens are in their first QMJHL Championship Series since 1997 and looking for their first Gilles-Courteau Trophy since 1994.

Moncton are the defending QMJHL champions and are trying to become the league’s first back-to-back winners since the Saint John’s Sea Dogs won in 2011 and 2012.

The QMJHL Series will shift back to the Avenir Centre in Moncton for Game 5 on Friday which can be seen LIVE at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on TSN5, TSN.ca, and the TSN App.
