Serena Gray-Withers and Victor Pietrangelo are Canadian curling champions.

The duo won the 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship on Friday in Surrey, B.C., after defeating Zoe Cinnamon and Johnson Tao in dramatic, comeback fashion.

Cinnamon and Tao scored six points in the opening end to take a commanding lead before Gray-Withers and Pietrangelo stormed back, scoring three in the eighth end to pick up the improbable 10-9 victory.

“It was just a lot of plugging away. We got a couple of chances and we capitalized on them,” said Pietrangelo.

Gray-Withers also skips her own women’s team in Edmonton, featuring Cinnamon at lead.

“They’re a great team. They’re some of our very closest friends,” said Gray-Withers. “Winning a championship is awesome, but playing a friend and teammate is always really hard. You always want what’s best for them, it sucks, but it’s a great opportunity for us.”

Pietrangelo, from Niagara Falls, Ont., competed at the 2026 Montana’s as a lead for Ontario’s Team Jayden King.

Gray-Withers, 24, and Pietrangelo, 23, will now represent Canada at the 2027 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in early January.
