In the second event of the curling season, Peter De Cruz of Switzerland won the Baden Masters in his home country this past weekend on the Curling Champions Tour.

De Cruz, alongside fourth Benoit Schwarz, third Claudio Paetz and lead Valentin Tanner beat Norwegian skip Thomas Ulsrud 6-5 in extra ends in the championship game on Sunday.
The 26-year-old De Cruz went 7-0 over the three day event, beating fellow native of Switzerland Marc Pfister in the quarter-finals and Dane Rasmus Stjerne in the semis.
The 20-rink field featured mostly European rinks including David Murdoch and Tom Brewster of Scotland as well as Sweden’s Niklas Edin (last year’s champ).
