Jones, Cochrane win seniors titles

DIGBY, N.S. - Nova Scotia's Colleen Jones defeated Saskatchewan's Sherry Anderson 5-2 on Saturday to win the Canadian senior women's curling championship.

Jones had singles in the first three ends and was never threatened in the seven-end game at the Digby Area Recreation Centre. Jones is a six-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion.

Ontario's Jo-Ann Rizzo won the bronze medal with a 7-3 victory over Alberta's Cathy King.

Ontario's Bryan Cochrane beat Manitoba's Randy Neufeld 6-3 in the men's final.

Nova Scotia's Alan O'Leary topped Bob Ursel of British Columbia 7-5 to win bronze.
