FC Montreal has a playoff spot in its sights as they take on D.C. United in a crucial MLS matchup (TSN 4/5, 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt).
Montreal sits in eighth in the East and right outside of a playoff spot, trailing D.C. and the Columbus Crew in sixth by just a point in the standings.
Montreal is coming off a 2-2 tie against Atlanta United, the first game with general admission at Stade Saputo since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. D.C. has gone unbeaten through its last four games, including a 4-2 win over Columbus in their last game.
Defender Rudy Camacho and midfielder Victor Wanyama each received a red card in their last game and will be serving one-game suspensions, while centre-back Aljaz Struna will serve a one-game suspension for yellow cards.
“We’re still studying what the best options are,” said head coach Wilfried Nancy. There are a lot of different options. I’m looking at the different profiles at my disposal and at D.C. United’s aggressive style of play. I’m confident with the team I am going to field but I’m still weighing options to find the best solution.”
