Connor Howe (Ogden, Utah) carded a bogey-free 64 Saturday at TPC Toronto (Heathlands) to take a three-stroke lead entering the final round at the Osprey Valley Open in Caledon, Ontario. Making the most of moving day, Luke Long (Fayetteville, Arkansas) used a career-best 61 to move 35 spots up the leaderboard and into a tie for second at 14-under 196 with Thomas Ponder (Dothan, Alabama) and Ryan Voois (Orange County, California).
Howe got off to a hot start Saturday, birdieing four of his first six holes to make the turn at 5-under. The Georgia Tech graduate played a steady back nine, adding one birdie to post his second-straight 64 and take the 54-hole lead as he looks to capture his first PGA TOUR Americas victory.
Beginning the day tied for 37th, Long played a 3-under front nine before taking advantage of the back nine. He birdied three straight holes after the turn and added three more coming in, including back-to-back birdies at Nos. 16 and 17, to post the low round of the day and secure a place in Sunday’s final grouping.
Currently No. 1 on the PGA TOUR Americas Points List, Ponder used five birdies on the back nine to move into a tie for second as he looks to capture his second PGA TOUR Americas victory of the season. A member of PGA TOUR University Class of 2026, Illinois alum Voois shares second place with Long and Ponder after a third-round 66.
Étienne Papineau (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada) and Corey Pereira (Sacramento, California) are tied for fifth at 13-under 197. Three Canadians are inside the top 15 through 54 holes, with Papineau joined by Peyton Callens and Piercen Hunt, who are tied for 14th at 10-under 200.
