Louis Vuitton releases new Virgil Abloh-inspired bracelets with proceeds going to UNICEF

Louis Vuitton continues to uphold the charitable endeavors of their late artistic director, Virgil Abloh, by reviving its charitable Lockit bracelet collection.
Most of the materials used for this collection are new as the Lockits are fitted with tiny padlocks branded with the luxury house's LV logo along with a chain and Louis Vuitton charm in the colours of natural or black titanium, with neon yellow, rainbow, or black cord bracelets forming the jewelry piece. The overall look is discrete as it comes in as one of the more unassuming Abloh-designed pieces from Louis Vuitton.
The bracelets also draw plenty of Abloh’s design inspiration as viewed in the use of titanium links, likening back to various Louis Vuitton bag straps and other collection details. Abloh frequently used these links in his work, as seen most prevalently on the Virgil Abloh x Nike Dunk collaborations. The bracelet itself is a reference to George Vuitton, the only child of Louis Vuitton, and the tumbler lock he created in 1890 to protect precious belongings.
The Louis Vuitton Silver Lockit Bracelets are available online or in-store, retailing at $575 USD. Like in past collections, $100 USD from the purchase of each Abloh-designed Lockit bracelet goes to UNICEF.
Virgil Abloh first designed the bracelet back in 2020 as Louis Vuitton established its ongoing partnership with UNICEF. Since 2016, Louis Vuitton has pledged over $18 million USD.
