Bo Bichette gave the Toronto Blue Jays a lead in Game 7 of the World Series, drilling a three-run home run off Shohei Ohtani in the third inning.
The blast came with one out and runners on first and third. George Springer singled to begin the inning and after he reached third thanks to a Nathan Lukes bunt and a wild pitch, the Dodgers walked Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to bring Bichette to the plate.
Bichette then caught a hanging slider on the barrel and sent it deep over the centre field wall to give the Jays the early lead in the winner-take-all Game 7.
The 27-year-old also became the first player to hit a home run off a former MVP in the World Series.
Bichette came into the decider hitting .316 so far in the postseason with zero home runs and three RBI.
