The Toronto Blue Jays have extended a one-year, $22.025 million qualifying offer to Bo Bichette ahead of Thursday’s 5 p.m. deadline, the team announced.
Bichette has until Nov. 18 to accept the qualifying offer and would net the Blue Jays a compensatory draft pick if he signs elsewhere over his impending free agency.

The 27-year-old shortstop bounced back in 2025 following an injury-marred season, slashing .311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs and a team-high 94 RBI.
The two-time All-Star was on pace to lead the league in both hits (181) and doubles (44) before sustaining a PCL sprain in his left knee against the New York Yankees on Sept. 6.
Bichette missed the remainder of the regular season with the injury, as well as Toronto’s first two rounds of the postseason, before returning in Game 1 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In 23 at-bats in the Fall Classic, Bichette hit .348 with six RBI across 23 at-bats, also hitting a three-run home run in Game 7.
The Orlando native was drafted by the Blue Jays in the second round of the 2016 draft and has posted a career .294 batting average with 111 home runs, 190 doubles, and 437 RBI in 749 games played since debuting for the big-league club in 2019.
Before this, Toronto’s most recent qualifying offer was extended to Matt Chapman, which returned the 136th overall pick in the 2024 June Amateur Draft to the Blue Jays after the third baseman joined the San Francisco Giants later that winter.
