The Toronto Blue Jays are scheduled to open the 2027 season on Thursday, March 25 against the New York Yankees in the Bronx, it was announced Thursday afternoon.
The Jays’ home opener will take place eight days later on Friday, April 2 against the Seattle Mariners. Toronto will go to Baltimore to take on the Orioles between the Yankees and Mariners series.
The March 25 is the earliest Opening Day in MLB history. The regular season is scheduled to conclude on Sept. 26.
The 2027 schedule features 48 inter-league matchups and a nine-game homestand leading up to Canada Day, with a showdown against the Los Angeles Angels scheduled for July 1.
Toronto could have a difficult end to the 2027 season, with their four final series next September coming in Los Angeles against the Dodgers and on the road at the Mariners before returning home to take on the division-rival Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays.
The 2026 Blue Jays will resume their regular-season schedule Friday night at home against the Chicago White Sox. They are six games below .500 at 45-51 and sit two and a half games out of the final American League wild-card spot.
