Former Toronto Blue Jays infielder Bo Bichette is headed to the New York Mets on a three-year deal, according to The Athletic.
Bichette, 27, is coming off a bounce-back campaign that saw him hit .311 with 18 home runs and 94 runs batted in. After struggling with injuries and poor performance in 2024, Bichette authored a season that earned him Most Valuable Player votes for the fourth time in his past five seasons.
Bichette hit one of the biggest home runs in Blue Jays franchise history in Game 7 of the World Series in November, launching a three-run shot off Shohei Ohtani to deep left field - despite playing with a significant knee injury - in a game that the Blue Jays would go on to lose 5-4 in 11 innings.
