The 39-year-old outfielder spent last season with the Pittsburgh Pirates, slashing .239/.333/.367 with 13 home runs and 57 RBI. It was his second go-around with the Pirates after he spent the majority of his career there from 2009 to 2017, winning the National League MVP in 2013 and making the All-Star team in five consecutive seasons.
After stints with the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers, McCutchen re-joined the Pirates ahead of 2023 and spent three more seasons in Pittsburgh before landing with the Rangers.
Now set for his 18th MLB season, McCutchen has four Silver Slugger Awards, a Gold Glove and a Roberto Clemente Award in addition to his MVP and five All-Star nods.
