Gary Sanchez is headed back to the Milwaukee Brewers.
The New York Post’s Jon Heyman reports the team has signed the veteran catcher to a one-year, $1.75 million deal.
Sanchez, 33, spent 2024 with the team.
A native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Sanchez suited up for the Baltimore Orioles in 2025. He appeared in 29 games, hitting .231 with 21 hits, five home runs, 24 runs batted in and an OPS of .715 across 91 at-bats.
A two-time All-Star, Sanchez spent the first seven seasons of his 11-year career with the New York Yankees. He would go on to play for the Minnesota Twins, New York Mets and San Diego Padres.
For his career, Sanchez is batting .224 with 657 hits, 189 home runs, 509 runs batted in and an OPS of .770 in 859 games.
Sanchez joins former Toronto Blue Jays catcher Reese McGuire as added depth at backstop behind everyday catcher William Contreras.
