Blue Jays’ Varsho day-to-day with wrist injury

Published:

Toronto Blue Jays’ outfielder Daulton Varsho is day-to-day with a left wrist injury, as per Keegan Matheson of MLB.com. He is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.

According to Matheson, this is an issue Varsho has dealt with periodically going back to his time with the Arizona Diamondbacks between 2020 and 2022.

Varsho left Friday’s 13-3 loss in the fourth inning due to left wrist discomfort. He ground out in his only at-bat of the game. Yohendrick Piñango replaced Varsho as a pinch hitter.

Varsho is batting .256/.331/.739 with five home runs and 17 RBIs with the Blue Jays in 2026.

The Blue Jays sit fourth in the AL East standings following yesterday’s loss with a 30-34 record. A win on Saturday would put them in a tie with the Orioles for third in the AL East.
