The No. 1 Duke Blue Devils have a big hill to climb in the second half of their East Region opener.

Jon Scheyer’s team trails No. 16 Siena 43-32 at the half.

Saints guard Gavin Doty leads all scorers with 16. The Blue Devils are led by Cameron Boozer’s 13.

The Blue Devils are looking to avoid the same fate of Virginia in 2018 and Purdue in 2023 as top seeds to lose to No. 16 teams. The Cavaliers fell 74-54 to UMBC, while the Boilermakers were taken down, 68-53, by FDU.
