A touchdown and field goal from both the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears have the pair of teams tied 10-10 at halftime in Sunday night’s NFC Divisional round contest.
In snowy conditions at Soldier Field in Chicago, the first drive of the game resulted in a turnover, with Bears quarterback Caleb Williams throwing an interception near the Los Angeles goal line.
On the ensuing Rams drive, the road team marched all the way down the field, with running back Kyren Williams capping off a 14-play, 85-yard drive as the Rams took an early 7-0 lead.
The Bears responded, however, driving back down before Williams found receiver D.J. Moore in the end zone to tie things up at seven as the second quarter began.
After trading stops, the Rams made another huge stop, forcing the Bears to turn it over on downs with under five minutes remaining in the half.
Chicago’s defence stood tall, however, getting to Rams pivot Matthew Stafford for a sack and forcing another punt.
On the next drive, a big 27-yard gain by receiver Rome Odunze helped set up a Bears field goal as they took a 10-7 lead late in the first half.
There was just enough time remaining on the clock for Stafford and the Rams, however, tying things up with a field goal as time expired in the first half.
Los Angeles will get the football to begin the second half after deferring to Chicago to begin the game.
