The Buffalo Bills made a change in the secondary on Wednesday with the addition of Darius Slay.

The team claimed the veteran cornerback off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Corner Ja’Marcus Ingram was released in a corresponding move.

Slay, 34, did not dress in the Steelers’ 26-7 loss to the Bills last Sunday. He was in his first season with the team. In 10 games with the Steelers, Slay recorded 36 tackles and defended three passes.

A native of Brunswick, GA, Slay is in his 13th season out of Mississippi State. Originally taken with the 36th overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, Slay spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Detroit Lions before joining the Philadelphia Eagles for five. He won Super Bowl LIX with the Eagles this past January.

A six-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro in 2017. Slay has totalled 655 tackles and 28 interceptions, including three pick-sixes, in 187 career games.

The Bills (8-4) host the Cincinnati Bengals (4-8) on Sunday at Highmark Stadium.
