Buffalo Bills wide receivers Keon Coleman and DJ Moore and defensive lineman Ed Oliver are questionable to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Coleman, who returned to practice Friday, initially sustained an ankle injury in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions, briefly leaving the field before halftime but finishing the game. Both of Coleman's ankles were taped on the practice field Friday, but he didn't sport any further braces.
Moore and Oliver also went down the night of the Lions game, with Oliver tweaking his hip pregame and Moore injuring his shoulder late in the first half. Both practiced in limited capacities this week. Moore was spotted during Friday's practice running routes and catching passes while wearing a red noncontact jersey. Oliver was a limited participant Thursday and Friday.
After Friday's practice, Moore told reporters that he is optimistic about his readiness for Sunday but that he still needs to check "a few more boxes." That includes ensuring that his shoulder feels stable and that he is able to withstand contact.
If Coleman and Moore are ruled out, the Bills' wide receiver depth will be tested. Returning contributors Khalil Shakir and Joshua Palmer started 18 combined games for the Bills in 2025. In Weeks 1 and 2, the Bills elevated veteran slot option Greg Dortch from the practice squad but used him for only four offensive snaps. Fourth-round rookie Skyler Bell has been inactive each of the first two weeks.
"I think it speaks to the types of receivers we have in the room that we have a lot of smart guys that can handle a lot of different roles," Bills coach Joe Brady said after Friday's practice. "I have a couple different plans in terms of 'Hey, if this guy's down, these are the guys that are going to be taking these plays.' So it doesn't put as much on them as it does on me, but that's part of my job with it."
Bills quarterback Josh Allen has targeted wide receivers on 32 pass attempts in 2026. Tight end Dalton Kincaid has been Allen's top option by targets (14), catches (12) and yards (225).
Defensive back Jordan Hancock (hamstring) and defensive lineman T.J. Sanders (appendectomy) will not play against the Chargers. Rookie guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams (elbow) will be questionable. Like Bell, Reed-Adams has yet to make his NFL debut.
