Week 3 of the NFL season has arrived with teams from around the league looking to continue their hot starts, or turn their seasons around entirely to avoid the dreaded 0-3 record – usually a death knell for playoff hopes.
TSN will carry six games on the network this week, including all three primetime games, while NFL RedZone returns to cover all of the action across both slates on Sunday.
Here is a game-by-game look at each matchup and where to find them on the network.
Falcons vs. Packers – Thursday Night Football
Week 3 kicks off with Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers playing host to Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons under the lights at Lambeau Field.
The Packers put an end to a six-game losing streak dating back to the end of the 2025 regular season with a 20-17 overtime victory over the New York Jets last time out.
Facing a 10-point deficit to begin the fourth quarter, the Packers rallied back to force overtime before rookie placekicker Tyler Smack drilled a 26-yard field goal in the extra frame to secure Green Bay’s first victory of the year.
Love completed 55.2 per cent of his passes threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns – his second straight week with multiple scores – in the comeback win over the Jets.
“It’s a huge win,” the Green Bay quarterback said. “It’s one of those games where you just have to keep fighting. It wasn’t pretty a lot of that game.”
Following the offseason departures of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks, Christian Watson has emerged as Love’s top target in the early goings of the 2026 season, recording 10 receptions and three touchdowns on a team-high 19 targets in two games.
Watson is expected to feature heavily in Green Bay’s offence on Thursday night against a Falcons defence that has given up an average of 239 passing yards in two games to start the year.
Atlanta is coming off of a 34-3 drubbing at the hands of their NFC South rival Carolina Panthers last time out that dropped them to 0-2 on the young season.
The Falcons will have a new quarterback under centre on primetime this week, sending Michael Penix Jr. out for his first game action since Week 11 of last year.
Penix, the eighth overall pick out of Washington in 2024, had been sidelined while rehabbing from a torn ACL in his left knee.
He will take over for veteran passer Cooper Rush, who has struggled to the tune of a 56.4 completion percentage with one touchdown, four interceptions, and a fumble to open the 2026 season.
Rush was expected to handle Atlanta’s third-string quarterbacking duties this year, but was thrust into the starter’s role with Penix not quite ready to open the season and Tua Tagovailoa out with an oblique injury in practice ahead of Week 1.
With the lack of production at the quarterback position, Robinson has shouldered much of the load as the team’s top offensive option.
The Texas product has totalled 254 yards of total offence on 48 touches, and should once again be leaned on heavily as Atlanta goes for their first win of the year.
Patriots vs. Jaguars
A pair of 1-1 teams meet as Drake Maye and the New England Patriots head to the Sunshine State for a matchup against Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Patriots notched their first victory of the season with a 20-3 beatdown of the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.
Maye threw for 208 yards with a 63.6 completion percentage, but threw another interception – his fourth of the year – after a three-pick performance in the season-opener.
Second-year running back TreVeyon Henderson made his 2026 debut after sitting out Week 1 with an ankle injury, and made an immediate impact with a 39-yard touchdown run to open the scoring in the first quarter against Pittsburgh.
Henderson had 16 carries for 76 yards and the score, handling most of the backfield work after Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled on New England’s opening drive of the contest.
But much like last year on their trip to the Super Bowl, New England’s defence shined brightest against the Steelers.
The Patriots held Pittsburgh to just 3.5 yards per play, also forcing two turnovers – an interception and a fumble – the latter of which was returned for a touchdown by Elijah Ponder in the fourth quarter to seal the deal for New England.
With star receiver A.J. Brown placed on injures reserve, Romeo Doubs stepped up for 96 yards in the win as the Pats rebounded nicely from an ugly loss in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Jacksonville was handed their first regular-season loss since Week 10 of last year in a 20-13 defeat at the hands of the Denver Broncos.
The Jaguars went up 13-3 with a Cam Little field goal in the early stages of the third quarter, but Lawrence and the Jacksonville offence were shutout from that point and on as the Broncos rallied back for the victory.
Lawrence finished with 189 yards and an interception, while Bhayshul Tuten was the only Jaguar to find the endzone with a one-yard score on the game’s opening drive.
“Definitely disappointing,” said the former first overall pick out of Clemson. ”I felt like we played the opposite way in the second half than we did in the first half.”
Parker Washington continued his run of excellent play from last year, bringing in seven catches for 98 yards as Lawrence’s top target for the second consecutive week.
Washington could be in tough in Week 3 against New England’s top cornerback Christian Gonazlez, who held DK Metcalf to just 27 yards last week.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins on TSN Premium
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs look to stay undefeated in 2026 as they head south for a meeting against Malik Willis and the Miami Dolphins.
Kansas City is among three teams in the AFC to hold undefeated records through two weeks of action this season after they outlasted the Indianapolis Colts 33-30 in overtime on Sunday night.
Any doubts on how Patrick Mahomes would perform after undergoing knee surgery last season are gone after the three-time Super Bowl MVP threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns in the victory over Indianapolis.
Kenneth Walker III continued his torrid start to the season with another 100-yard effort, while Travis Kelce turned back the clock with nine receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown.
The Chiefs offence is rolling with back-to-back 30 point showings to start the year, and should be in line for another big game against a Dolphins defence that has allowed 62 points through two games – tied for the third-highest mark in the NFL.
Willis is still searching for his first victory as the Dolphins’ new franchise quarterback after back-to-back losses to open his ledger in South Beach.
The Liberty product completed 60.9 per cent of his passes for 197 yards and a touchdown in the team’s 35-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2, but could not make up for Miami’s porous defence that gave up touchdowns on the first five drives of the game.
De’Von Achane has not quite replicated his success from last year after recording his first 1,000-yard season in 2025, but did perform marginally better with 74 yards on 20 carries against San Francisco after managing just 36 yards on the ground the week prior.
With matchups against the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals coming up, Miami is desperate for a win in Week 3 as they look to take advantage of a Chiefs team that could be dealing with fatigue after being taken to overtime on Sunday night.

Vikings vs. Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to avoid an 0-3 start to the season as they play host to Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings.
The Buccaneers were on the losing end of the ‘Baker Bowl’ in Week 2, falling to the Cleveland Browns 23-19 in a rain-delayed affair on Sunday.
Mayfield was outdueled by Deshaun Watson in their first meeting since the ex-Sooner was shipped out of Cleveland following the blockbuster trade that brought Watson to the Browns in March 2022.
The loss continued a worrying trend to start the season for the Buccaneers with Mayfield taking another three sacks – bringing his season total up to seven – and throwing an interception for his fourth turnover of the year.
The Bucs rewarded Mayfield with a three-year, $165 million extension right before the start of the season, and the immediate returns have yet to translate to wins.
“Frustrated because it’s close,” Mayfield said after the game. “We have to be self-critical, look at the tape, get stuff fixed and not make the same mistakes over and over.”
After a late-season meltdown cost them their spot in the playoffs last season, Tampa Bay is now staring down the barrel of an 0-3 start as they head to Minneapolis for a date against the Vikings.
Minnesota grinded out a 9-3 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 2, with kicker Will Reichard accounting for all of the offence the Vikings would need.
Reichard made all three of his field goal attempts and the Vikings defence stifled the Bears all afternoon long in wet conditions.
Carson Wentz threw for 143 yards against Chicago, but Minnesota is expected to go back to Kyler Murray under centre after he cleared concussion protocol earlier this week.
Murray threw for 18 yards and an interception before being knocked out of the game on the Vikings’ second drive of the season, and will now step back into the starter’s role looking to keep Minnesota rolling after getting off to a 2-0 start.
Rams vs. Broncos – Sunday Night Football
Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams are back on primetime for the third straight week as they head to Mile High for a meeting against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football.
The Rams took down the New York Giants 28-6 on Monday night behind huge games from Stafford and Davante Adams.
Stafford, the reigning NFL MVP, threw for 327 yards with four touchdown and an interception, while Adams had 195 receiving yards and two scores while operating as Los Angeles’ top pass catcher in the absence of Puka Nacua.
The Rams bounced back in a big way following their season-opening loss in Australia, reaffirming their status as Super Bowl favourites to begin the year.
“This team, we got to the confidence level that we’re at because of the work we put in, and we’re not going to put any governors on what we can do here,” Adams said following the win over New York. “If you’re trying to be great, be a Super Bowl-caliber team, you’ve got to hold yourself to a high standard. We can do even a little bit better than what we did, but this is on track with what we’re capable of.”
The Rams also welcomed back three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald back to the lineup, who took the field for the first time since coming out of retirement last month.
Donald played 32 snaps on Monday, recording three total tackles and a pressure to help the Rams limit the Giants to just two field goals in the Week 2 victory.
The Broncos also got their first win of the season last week, with Nix and Jaylen Waddle leading the charge for a 20-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Nix threw for 288 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while Waddle had eight catches for 138 yards in the victory.
Acquired from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for three draft picks, Waddle managed just two receiving yards in his Denver debut before the big showing on Sunday. The Alabama alum was targeted on 42 per cent of his pass routes against Jacksonville and outgained his next closest teammate by 106 receiving yards.
Despite the win, veteran running back JK Dobbins was forced out of the game with a hamstring injury to further deplete the Denver backfield.
With RJ Harvey already ruled out and Dobbins making an early exit, rookie runner Jonah Coleman took the lion’s share of the carries and recorded his first career touchdown on a three-yard rush in the fourth quarter for the decisive score of the game.
While head coach Sean Payton expressed optimism regarding Dobbins’ injury after the game, Coleman could be tasked with a big role in the Broncos’ offence against the Rams on Sunday night.
Eagles vs. Bears – Monday Night Football
Week 3 comes to a close on Monday Night Football with Jalen Hurts and the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles heading to the Windy City to take on the the Chicago Bears.
The Eagles survived a scare from the Tennessee Titans last week, with Hurts throwing a touchdown to Darius Cooper with nine seconds remaining to eke out the 24-20 win.
Hurts’ performance was a mixed bag for much of Sunday’s game as he passed for 264 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, but the seventh-year passer was at his best on the Eagles’ game-winning drive with under two minutes remaining in regulation.
The seventh-year passer needed just nine plays to take the Eagles 64 yards down the field for the game-winning score – all while battling sweltering conditions in the Nashville heat.
The artificial turf temperature at Nissan Stadium reached almost 70 degrees Celsius, causing Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni to get IV fluids and players’ cleat to begin melting.
“I’m not one to harp on the elements, but it was a challenge for us as a unit collectively,” Hurts said. “And I’m happy with how we weathered through that.”
DeVonta Smith had his first big showing as the Eagles’ top receiver following A.J. Brown’s departure, bringing in 10 catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.
Smith saw a team-high 13 targets in the victory, and could be in line for another game with high volume with Philadelphia dealing with a pair of injuries to two key pieces of their offence.
2024 Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley is set for an MRI after suffering a stinger against Tennessee, while top tight end Dallas Goedert appears likely to miss the next few weeks with a sprained MCL.
While the Eagles were dealt their fair share of injuries, Chicago perhaps had the most significant loss of the NFL’s Week 2 slate.
Starting quarterback Caleb Williams went down with a right hamstring injury in the fourth quarter of the team’s 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and is now considered ‘week-to-week’ by head coach Ben Johnson.
Williams appeared to be in significant pain after slipping on the wet grass at Solider Field while scrambling out of the pocket, and had to be helped off the field by Chicago’s training staff before being carted back to the locker room.
The first overall pick in the 2024 draft, Williams has not been officially ruled out for Monday night but it appears unlikely that he will take the field.
Backup quarterback Tyson Bagent, who replaced Williams in the fourth quarter, was initially in line to get the start against the Eagles, but his status is now also in doubt after entering concussion protocol on Tuesday. If both quarterbacks are inactive for Monday, veteran passer Case Keenum would be the next man up.
