Thanks to some stellar defence, the Seattle Seahawks have defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX Sunday night.

After a defensive first half that saw the Seahawks lead 9-0 over the Patriots, the same trend continued in the third quarter before the fourth quarter exploded with points.

The third quarter featured five three-and-outs, with a fourth field goal by Jason Myers sandwiched in between, as Seattle led 12-0 heading into the fourth quarter.

The scoring came in the final frame, as it would be AJ Barner making the game’s first touchdown on a throw from quarterback Sam Darnold, extending Seattle’s lead to 19-0 early in the fourth.

New England showed life on the ensuing drive, as back-to-back long completions to receiver Mack Hollins, including the touchdown, cut the Seahawks’ lead to 19-7.

After a Drake Maye interception, the change of possession ended with Myers’ fifth field goal of the night, extending the Seahawks’ lead to 22-7, as Seattle’s lead extended even farther to 29-7 following a defensive touchdown.

A Rhamondre Stevenson touchdown cut the lead to 29-13 before the two-minute warning, but the scoring would stop there.
