PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles are placing three-time Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson on injured reserve because of a knee injury, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, meaning Dickerson will miss at least the next four games.
Dickerson seemingly confirmed the move to IR during a Monday radio appearance on WIP's "Players Lounge Show," saying, "I'm going to assume that's correct."
Dickerson said he "played like s---" in Philadelphia's 24-22 season-opening win over Washington on Sunday.
"I was a complete liability. It was my fault. I should not be out there until I feel healthy," he said.
Dickerson has dealt with various lower-body ailments in recent years. He underwent surgery to repair an injured meniscus in August 2025 and appeared in 15 games, but was clearly not himself and acknowledged this offseason that he probably should not have returned to play so quickly.
Dickerson traveled to Columbia this offseason for stem cell therapy, which he found beneficial, but did not look like his Pro Bowl self during training camp or Week 1 against the Commanders, allowing multiple pressures and appearing to lack full mobility.
Dickerson said Monday the injury is unrelated to last year's and that he was rolled up on in practice a few weeks ago. He described the injury as a bone bruise in his right knee that he was told would not heal if he kept banging it up.
"Really the best plan going forward is to put me on IR so I can have a good stretch at the back end of the season," he said. "I don't think anybody wants to see that again. That was ugly. That was BS."
Drew Kendall, a 2025 fifth-round pick out of Boston College, enjoyed a strong offseason and is a strong candidate to replace Dickerson in the lineup.
"He's tough as heck," coach Nick Sirianni said of Dickerson on Monday. "We've won a ton of games with Landon, and there's a lot of good things that he can do. Just like every player on our team from yesterday's game and every coach for that matter, there's good moments and there are moments that we've got to fix. That's where we are."
The Philadelphia Inquirer was first to report Dickerson landing on IR.
