Leonard Williams is getting paid.
The Seattle Seahawks have signed the veteran defensive tackle to a three-year, $90 million extension, ESPN’s Ian Rapoport reports.
The deal comes with $56 million in guaranteed money.
Williams, 32, heads into his 12th NFL season and fourth with the Super Bowl champions. He appeared in all 17 games last season, recording 62 tackles and 7.0 sacks. Williams had four tackles, three quarterback hits and a sack in the team’s three playoff games last year.
A native of Bakersfield, CA, Williams was originally taken with the sixth overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft out of USC by the New York Jets. He played four-plus years with the team until a trade to the New York Giants in 2019. Williams was then dealt to Seattle in 2023.
For his career, Williams has appeared in 175 games. The three-time Pro Bowler has registered 637 tackles, 61.5 sacks and two interceptions including a 92-yard pick-six in 2024.
The Seahawks open up their title defence in a Super Bowl rematch on Sept. 9 against the New England Patriots.
