Montreal Canadiens defenceman Noah Dobson is a game-time decision for Sunday’s Game 7 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, according to head coach Martin St. Louis.

Dobson will participate in the pre-game warmup before the decision is made.

“He’s been a big player for us this year, I’m confident if he plays, he’s going to bring something,” St. Louis said Sunday morning.

The 25-year-old participated in morning skate on Friday ahead of the Habs’ 1-0 loss in Game 6, but did not play.

Dobson has missed the first six games of the playoffs as well as the final two games of the regular season after suffering a thumb injury on April 11 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

He was injured while blocking a shot that hit his hand. The team announced on April 12 that Dobson would be re-evaluated in two weeks after the injury.

In his first season with the Canadiens after being acquired in June from the New York Islanders, Dobson scored 12 goals with 47 points in 80 games while averaging 22:29 of ice time.
