Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach will miss the next 4-6 weeks due to a fractured foot, the team announced Sunday.
Joshua Roy has been recalled from the AHL’s Laval Rocket in a corresponding move. Roy has four goals and seven points in 10 AHL games this year.

Dach, 24, will miss significant time for the fourth consecutive season. The Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., native has suited up in just 132 games since the start of 2022-23 due to a pair of significant knee injuries.
Dach has played in 15 games this season, scoring five goals and adding two assists.
Since being selected third overall in the 2019 NHL Draft, Dach has 48 goals and 128 points in 284 games with the Canadiens and Chicago Blackhawks.
Dach is the latest in a string of injuries for the Canadiens, joining Alex Newhook, who will miss four months with a fractured ankle, Kaiden Guhle, who recently underwent surgery on his adductor muscle and will miss 8-10 weeks, and Patrik Laine, who is out 3-4 months following core muscle surgery.
