After a scoreless third period, the Montreal Canadiens and Carolina Hurricanes are headed to overtime tied 2-2 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final.

The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1.

Noah Dobson thought he scored what could have been the potential winner for the Canadiens in the third period, but the goal was wiped out on an offside review initiated by Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour.

Dobson then had to sweat out two minutes in the penalty box when he took an interference penalty for hitting Hurricanes forward Jordan Staal away from the puck.

Mike Matheson and Lane Hutson have the markers for the Canadiens.

Shayne Gostisbehere and Taylor Hall scored for the Hurricanes.

Jakub Dobes has made 30 saves in net for the Canadiens, while counterpart Frederik Andersen has turned away 11 shots for the Hurricanes.

Game 4 of the series is Wednesday in Montreal.
