The Vancouver Canucks have asked defenceman Tyler Myers to consider a trade option, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.
Dreger reports that the offer was presented to Myers, who has trade protection, and his agent J.P. Barry two days ago and they continue to deliberate.
TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston adds that Myers currently holds a full no-movement clause, which converts to a 12-team no-trade list this summer.
TSN’s Ryan Rishaug reports the Edmonton Oilers are not among the suitors for Myers.
The team announced that Myers would not play in Wednesday night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets for “roster management purposes.”
Myers has appeared in 57 games this season for the Canucks and has a goal with seven assists.
The 36-year-old is in his seventh season with Vancouver after joining the team as a free agent in 2019 and is currently playing on a three-year deal that carries a $3 million AAV and expires after the 2026-27 season.
The Houston native has also appeared with the Jets and Buffalo Sabres over the course of his 1,123 game NHL career.
Myers was selected 12th overall in the first round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Sabres.
