Dan MacKinnon, the senior vice president and assistant general manager as well as Chuck Fletcher, senior advisor to the president, hockey operations and general manager, did not have their contracts renewed and will not return to the team in 2026-27.
“The organization thanks them for their time, dedication and efforts, and wishes them all the best as they pursue future opportunities,” the team said in a release.
The 48-year-old Mehta, who previously worked as an assistant general manager with the Florida Panthers, was hired by the Devils to be their general manager in April, replacing Tom Fitzgerald.
New Jersey finished a disappointing seventh in the Metropolitan Division with a 42-37-3 record this season.
