The Anaheim Ducks have signed restricted free agent forward Cutter Gauthier to a six-year, $81 million contract that carries a cap hit of $13.5 million, with terms reported by TSN Hockey Insiders Pierre LeBrun and Darren Dreger.
The deal includes $69 million worth of bonus money, which the two sides were able to negotiate before the collective bargaining agreement changes on Sept. 16, according to LeBrun.
Gauthier, 22, led the Ducks in scoring last season, registering 41 goals and 69 points in 76 games. He became the third player in franchise history to score 40 or more goals, joining Teemu Selanne and Corey Perry.
Gauthier added four goals and 12 points in 12 playoff games before his team was eliminated in the second round.
The 6-foot-2 winger is coming off his three-year, entry-level contract.
He was acquired by the Ducks in January of 2024 from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenceman Jamie Drysdale and a draft pick.
Drafted fifth overall by the Flyers in 2022, Gauthier has 61 goals and 114 points in 159 career games.
The Scottsdale, Ariz., native represented the United States at the World Hockey Championship twice, taking gold in 2025 and ending a 92-year gold-medal drought. He also represented his country twice at the World Juniors, winning gold in 2024 and bronze in 2023.
