The Anaheim Ducks announced Thursday that forward Troy Terry had surgery on June 9 to address a hip impingement and labral tear, and that his recovery is expected to take five-to-six months, the team announced.
That recovery timeline means that Terry will not be ready for the beginning of the 2026-27 season.
The 28-year-old Terry scored 19 goals and finished with 57 points in 61 games this season, his ninth with the Ducks.
In his first taste of playoff action, Terry helped the Ducks advance to the second round by scoring three goals and tallying 11 points in 12 games.
Terry is entering the fourth year of a seven-year deal worth $49 million, and is scheduled to be a free agent at the 2030 season.
The native of Denver, Col. was selected in the fifth round (148th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft by the Ducks, and has 135 goals and 342 points in 488 career games with Anaheim.
