Luke Glendening is back with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The team announced on Wednesday that the veteran centre had signed with the team on a professional tryout basis.
Glendening, 37, previously skated in 158 games across two seasons with the team from 2023 to 2025. He scored 14 goals and added 14 assists. Glendening added a goal and an assist in 10 playoff contests over the two seasons.
A native of Grand Rapids, MI, Glendening was undrafted out of Michigan. He would make his NHL debut for the Detroit Red Wings in 2013 and played eight seasons for the team. He also suited up for the Dallas Stars. Glendening split last season between the Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils, scoring two goals and adding seven assists in 70 games.
In 934 games across 13 seasons, Glendening has 85 goals and 90 assists.
The Lightning open up their preseason schedule on Sunday at home to the Nashville Predators. The team makes its regular-season debut on Oct. 1 with a visit to the New York Rangers.
