Jackson Blake scored at the 13:31 mark of the second period to give the Carolina Hurricanes a 2-0 lead over the Vegas Golden Knights after 40 minutes of play in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final on Sunday night.

Carolina leads the series 3-2, and are inching closer to their second Stanley Cup title in franchise history.

Blake took a pass in the slot from Logan Stankoven, and fired a shot that appeared to redirect off of Mitch Marner and in past Carter Hart to double Carolina’s lead.

The goal was Blake’s seventh goal and 19th point of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, both tied with Taylor Hall for the team lead.

Hall got the scoring started in the first period to put Carolina in front 1-0, wiring a shot off of the rush past Hart and into the net. Jaccob Slavin and Blake recorded assists on the play.

Hurricanes goalie Brandon Bussi, making his third consecutive start in these Stanley Cup Finals, turned away the only three shots he faced in the middle frame. He now has 14 saves on the night through two periods.

Hart has allowed a goal in each period so far, saving 13 of 15 shots.

Golden Knights defenceman Rasmus Andersson took the only penalty of the period, a two minute minor for interference, but Carolina was unable to capitalize on the man advantage.
