Goaltender Linus Ullmark skated on Tuesday at the Senators’ facility as he works his way back, head coach Travis Green told reporters.

“Hopefully we’re approaching him getting back with the team,” Green said via Postmedia’s Bruce Garrioch.

Ullmark has been on personal leave since Dec. 28.

Meanwhile, goaltender James Reimer joined the Sens Monday on a one-year, $850,000 deal for the remainder of the season.

Green told reporters Reimer will not dress Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks, but there is a good chance he plays at some point this week.

Ottawa plays a back-to-back against the Rangers in New York on Wednesday.

Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers activated goaltender Tristan Jarry and defenceman Jake Walman off of long-term injured reserve on Tuesday.

Edmonton placed forward Adam Henrique on LTIR and changed goalie Connor Ingram from an emergency recall to the regular recall in corresponding moves.

Jarry was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 19, one week after he was acquired by the Oilers in a trade with thePittsburgh Penguins. The 30-year-old was injured in his third game with Edmonton, against theBoston Bruinson Dec. 18.

Walman has been sideline since Nov. 20 with a lower-body injury.

Washington Capitals

Injured power forward Tom Wilson is progressing and is close to being upgraded to contact.

The 31-year-old winger remains day-to-day.

Wilson hasn’t played since Jan. 3 with a lower-body injury suffered against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Toronto native, who was named to Canada’s Olympic hockey team last month, was injured when ‘Hawks defenceman Connor Murphy threw a surprising hit on Wilson behind the Chicago net late in the first, causing Wilson to fall awkwardly on his right foot/leg.

Wilson skated gingerly to the bench and needed help to get to the dressing room.

Wilson is on pace for a career season in 2025-26, scoring 22 goals and 20 assists over 41 games. His best season came last year when he netted 33 goals and 32 assists over 81 games.

Selected 16th overall in 2012, Wilson has spent his entire 13-year NHL career in Washington, recording 201 goals and 236 assists over 876 games.

Wilson helped the Caps win their first and only Stanley Cup in franchise history in 2018.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Defenceman Erik Karlsson is on the injured reserve list due to a lower-body injury and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the team announced Tuesday.

Karlsson played 23:12 of ice time in Sunday’s 1-0 loss to the Boston Bruins. It was not immediately clear when the Pittsburgh blueliner sustained his injury.

The 35-year-old has four goals and 29 assists for 33 points in 44 games so far this season.

Forward Tristan Broz and defenceman Ryan Graves were recalled from the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Tuesday. Forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard has also been re-assigned to the AHL.

St. Louis Blues

Robert Thomas (lower-body), Philip Broberg (concussion protocol) and Mathieu Joseph (elbow infection) all did not skate Tuesday, according to Lou Korac of NHL.com.

Korac reports Joseph has been moved to the injured reserve list with forward Nick Bjugstad returning Tuesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Bjugstad has been out since Dec. 8 with an upper-body injury.

Seattle Kraken

Forward Chandler Stephenson has been added back to the active roster, it was announced Tuesday morning.

He has missed the last two games for personal reasons.

The 31-year-old has 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points in 42 games so far this season.

In a corresponding move, the Kraken reassigned forward Oscar Fisker Mølgaard to the AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds.

The 20-year-old has one assist in two NHL games this season.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Star forward Brayden Point suffered an apparent lower-body injury in the Lightning’s 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers Monday night.

The injury came on a goal Point scored in the second period that gave the Bolts a 3-0 lead. He did not return after leaving.

Point was tangled up with Flyers defenceman Cam York as he went to backhand the puck into the net and had his right leg twist awkwardly under York.

Head coach Jon Cooper said Point would be evaluated on Tuesday.
