The Panthers are awaiting an update on veteran forward Brad Marchand, who suffered a knee injury Tuesday night in Los Angeles against the Kings.
Marchand took a stick up high which knocked him off balance and crashed awkwardly into the Kings' net in the second period. He remained down on the ice for several minutes and needed help to get to the Panthers' bench. He did not return to the game.
Head coach Paul Maurice told reporters after the game he would be evaluated on Wednesday.

No. 15 overall pick from this year's draft Nikita Klepov is expected to make his debut Wednesday evening against the Edmonton Oilers, according to TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston.
