Winnipeg Jets
Defenceman Neal Pionk is expected to return to the Jets lineup when they take on the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday, according to team reporter Mitchell Clinton.
Pionk, 30, was injured in the first period of the Jets’ 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Nov. 23 and missed the team’s last four games with a lower-body injury.
The 6-foot right-shot defenceman has a goal and five points in 21 games this season while averaging 22:44 of ice time.

Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks assigned goaltender Nikita Tolopilo and defenceman Elias Pettersson to the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks on Wednesday.
Tolopilo, 25, appeared in two games in Vancouver, recording a 1-1-0 record with a 3.56 goals-against average and an .892 save percentage.
The 6-foot-6 netminder also has a 1-3-1 record in the AHL with a 3.35 GAA and .901 save percentage.
Pettersson, 21, appeared in 24 games with in Vancouver this year, recording two assists with a minus-6 rating while averaging 13:29 of ice time.
Toronto Maple Leafs
The Maple Leafs used these lines during Wednesday’s practice prior to their game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday:
Boston Bruins
The Bruins assigned forward Riley Tufte to the AHL’s Providence Bruins on Wednesday.
Tufte, 27, appeared in four games in Boston, recording a goal.
The 6-foot-6 winger has eight goals and 16 points in 13 games in the AHL this season.
Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche recalled goaltender Trent Miner from the AHL’s Colorado Eagles on Wednesday.
The move comes after goalie Scott Wedgewood left Tuesday’s 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks with an upper-body injury.
Miner, 24, appeared in two games with the Avalanche this season, going 0-0-2 with a 2.12 goals-against average and .909 save percentage.
The 6-foot-1 netminder has a 4-1-0 record in the AHL this season with a 2.16 GAA and .908 save percentage.
Dallas Stars
Jake Oettinger will be in net on Wednesday when the Stars take on the New Jersey Devils, confirmed coach Glen Gulutzan.
Oettinger, 26, was scheduled to start in Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Rangers but served as a backup as he was dealing with an illness.
The 6-foot-6 netminder has an 11-4-2 record this season with a 2.76 goals-against average and .900 save percentage.
Los Angeles Kings
Defenceman Drew Doughty and forward Warren Foegele were full participants at Kings practice on Wednesday, according to team reporter Zach Dooley.
Doughty, 35, has missed the team’s last seven games with a lower-body injury and was given a week-to-week time frame.
The 6-foot-1 right-shot defenceman has two goals and eight points in 19 games this season while averaging 22:33 of ice time.
Foegele, 29, has four goals in 18 games this season.
The 6-foot-2 winger has missed the team’s last three games with an upper-body injury.
Philadelphia Flyers
Sam Ersson will be in the net when the Flyers take on the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday.
Ersson, 26, has won three of his last five games and has a 4-2-2 record this season with a 3.09 goals-against average and an .859 save percentage.
Additionally, defenceman Egot Zamula and forward Nick Deslauriers will draw into the Flyers lineup on Wednesday while defenceman Noah Juulsen will be the odd man out.
Pittsburgh Penguins
Forwards Justin Brazeau and Noel Acciari were full participants at Penguins practice on Wednesday, according to team reporter Michelle Crechiolo.
Brazeau, 27, was enjoying a hot start to the season, recording six goals and 12 points in 12 games before missing 13 games with an upper-body injury.
The 6-foot-6 winger joined the Penguins on a two-year, $3 million contract in the off-season and was paired on the second line with Evgeni Malkin.
Acciari, 34, missed the team’s last 11 games while dealing with an upper-body injury.
The 5-foot-11 centre has three assists in 13 games this season.
Additionally, forward Anthony Mantha missed Wednesday’s practice for a maintenance day while forward Joona Koppanen wasn’t on the ice due to an illness.
San Jose Sharks
Forward Alexander Wennberg is probable to play against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday, according to head coach Ryan Warsofsky.
Wennberg, 31, missed Tuesday’s practice with an upper-body injury but has appeared in all 27 games for the Sharks this season.
The 6-foot-2 centre has five goals and 13 points in 27 games this season.
Additionally, goaltender Yaroslav Askarov is expected to start against the Capitals, according to Sheng Peng of NBC Sports Sharks.
Askarov, 23, has won five of his last six games and has a 10-6-1 record this seaosn with a 2.96 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.
Utah Mammoth
The Mammoth recalled defenceman Maveric Lamoureux from the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners on Wednesday.
Lamoureux, 21, appeared in 15 games with Utah last season, recording a goal and three points with plus-3 rating while averaging 16:07 of ice time.
The 6-foot-6 right-shot defenceman has nine assists in 19 games in the AHL this season.
Additionally, forward Kevin Rooney cleared waivers on Wednesday and was assigned to the Roadrunners.
