The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed Isak Rosen to a two-year deal worth $1.9 million, the team announced on Wednesday.

The contract will pay Rosen, who was set to become a restricted free agent, $925,000 annually.

Rosen joined the Jets in a trade deadline deal with the Buffalo Sabres, as part of the return in the deal that sent defencemen Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn to Buffalo.

The 23-year-old forward finished his season with six goals and 10 points in 37 games combined with the Sabres and Jets.

Rosen was originally selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the Sabres, and made his NHL debut with Buffalo two years later.

In 52 career NHL games, the Solna, Sweden native has six goals and 11 points.
